Mostly low level workers ranging from level 3 to level 8 will be laid off. High level engineers, fellows, managers,directors, and VPs will be untouched. The reasoning is all those people have worked hard and talented enough to be retained. The remaining might have talents but are unproven and hence will be kicked out.
