The company has done this layoff skit so many times in history, they've really gotten good at demoralizing a work force that presumably they hired qualified people to work for....So, now all of a sudden they're just getting around to weeding out the poor performers on a mass scale???
Promoting teamwork through empowerment hasn't been Job 1 since Alex Trotman, Jac Nassar, were in power with the exception of Boeing's Alan Mutually CEO term, and who turned the company around when GM and Chrysler were begging for bailouts in 2007 from Obama.
And just like that! What happens when you put mo--ns in the White House, so goes the demise at the Dearborn Glass House.

@4wbe+1jaqL0OS "i thought the grp is a big deal at 55 and 10 years. what does 30 years mean?"

It's 55 with 10 years of service or <55 with 30 years of service.

Funny when I was let go recently the email and words the LL4 used said it was specifically not related to job performance, just that my job was being eliminated . Of course, that was before that hokey new quarterly PR process started up, so I guess this round will be those caught up in the new PR processes. From what I recalled, it seemed very similar to the one they tried to install under Jac the Kn--e (which crashed and burned an inglorious death)…. so I predict the same this time around, but with more lawsuits.

Have fun to all my friends and fremenies still there - hope it goes well! Tho I am guessing not so much since they can’t even fix the mess around the blue ovals put on the vehicles.

There are those GRP employees who think they are valuable and have the right skillset. Your replacement is in the works.

If you have 29 years, you better go now. It’s going to get ugly early next year for any GRP who stays. So sad. I used to live this place.

The proper way to "ask" was to convince management you were staying for several more years, then quiet quit. If you are at 29 years, you will jump to the top of the list.

Low performers are Quiet Quiter, they will not leave.

Asking to get out on the list this time was the wrong move. No package coming if they think you may go on your own.

It has been no secret for several years that the "low performers" the company wants to move out are older workers. If you are at retirement age and really wanted a package, you could have put yourself on this list. It wouldn't have been too difficult, since you were already in the crosshairs.

I don't understand why they didn't SIRP these low performers in the last two rounds. I know people say we lost some talented people in April and August, but I also know we got rid of some low performers.
