Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Keeping the poor performers because they are cheaper.

Ford is not unique in this regard, many other companies do it as well.
However, I still haven't fully understood the logic behind it: it's obvious that the leadership doesn't think long-term at all, because where can this kind of management lead Ford?
Do they understand that once a good employee leaves, he/she will not return, and new talented employees will become increasingly difficult to attract here?

Ford has to fulfill it's obligation to bring the stock down to gap fill $5. They aren't decimating their corporation accidently, they're sabotaging it intentionally. Many corporations do this.

Who do you thing these corporations work for? Corporation USA is a thing. With that said, what narrative are they trying to push since monetary gain or loss isn't relevant?

It's very obvious with all the Ford recalls, Ford vehicles catching fire, Ford Bronco's dropping valves etc etc etc that everyone at Ford is a low-performer, especially the executives. The interesting / bizarre / unreal aspect is that there are still apparently some delusional people at Ford that think they are high performers.
