Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Lump Sum Payments starting Oct15

I wonder how much lump sum cash will be leaving the pension fund in the next week.

Plenty of disgruntled employees taking lump sum before Nov30 cut off.

Leaving but not disgruntled. I just don't want to work for free for the next several years even though I love my job. Biden administration's inept handling of our economy forces me to do so. I'll be OK, I don't know what kind of future will be left for those younger than myself. The younger people seem to want this though it makes no sense. Looking forward to hearing from those who think I'm wrong.

If your last day is Nov 30 wouldn’t the lump sum come in December?

More nonsense.
The pension fund and the Ford Interest Advantage fund have no correlation. The FIA invests in notes of Ford Credit. Which happens to be one area that always generates a profit.
And read the annual funding notice for the pension. Assets exceed liabilities.
But please do take the lump sum based on nonsense only because everyone that does helps derisk the fund for everyone taking the monthly.

The bean counters watching the pension funds have probably already left the building.

If you have money in the Interest Advantage account get it out of there.
