Madigan was always a jagoff. He and Burke got their start from a sweet old lady and her deceased husband that lived in my apartment building growing up. They Helped them get started and meet the right people. Not once did they ever stop by to say hi. Burke lived in the same neighborhood. Everyone in the city knew they were crooked but if you had enough cash you could buy a state or city job. If I remember correctly about 40 years ago my mom was offered a job but the cost was 5k back in the early 80’s. . They have always been jagoffs and always will be.

Remember when at&t paid all that money to Trump's lawyer ? This is clearly how the company does business.

Bill Daley was as crooked as a dogs hind leg. AT&T hired him on at an exhoribent salary, unfortunately we received no ROI. It was obvious to most employees that he was hired as an influencer. Just another worthless employee that should have been on a PIP.

Well, unlike us rank and file, the crooked C level guys at the top don't have to complete the mandatory yearly compliance training courses COB and ethics like we have to (or they just have their assistants do it for them). They have no ethics and wouldn't recognize the CODE of Business Conduct if it were right in front of them.

They sent email to all employees reminding about COB and ethics. Problem is that the corruption is at the top not bottom of the company. What a joke!!!

T is like any other company. It’s just that are management is too d-mb to get away with the corruption. Every major corp is looking for an edge and sometimes that means paying folks for things that may not be above board.
And all corps give to both sides of the political aisle.
People on this site get so emotional. Understand this…you are a number to the company. The company does not give a flying f about you and if you leave nobody will miss you. Your job will be given to another employee.
I don’t understand why politics are ever part of the discussion posts.

And while we're at it, cut off Donnie's phone plan as well. I know we're the ones providing service to him. Maybe he should go and spin off his own carrier - Truth Mobile... lol

What a waste of money. Instead of bribing lawmakers, AT&T should clamp GOP by the ba--s and start terminating service of corrupt individuals. I find it sickening that this company is a safe haven for anti-abortionists and Capitol rioters.

Cut them loose.

OP stop using paywalled articles and wasting people's time. Here is another article.

https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndil/pr/att-illinois-pay-23-million-resolve-federal-investigation-efforts-unlawfully-influence#:~:text=CHICAGO%20%E2%80%94%20Illinois%20Bell%20Telephone%20Company,the%20House%20Michael%20J.%20Madigan.

Quick! Turn off all ordering of supplies so we can pay this bill.

So we gave somebody 22k and got fined 23 million. Seems legit.

This is not our father's AT&T anymore
Alexander Graham Bell is likely turning over in his grave over this corruption and the malfeasance of a few greedy trotten apples at the top who have been allowed to run this ounce proud and family oriented organization into the ground. Profit for a few at the expense of the many, in the words of Gordon Gecko, " Greed is Good". 3rd quarter earnings will likely signal the carnage to come.

It is hard to believe that Stanky, and Stephenson weren't involved or aware of this.
Boy would I like to be a fly on the wall for this. The formal arraignment for AT&T is scheduled for Monday at 11 a.m.

Folks, this is not just about crooked politicians, it's about crooked AT&T bribing crooked politicians. AT&T was seeking legislation that would have made it easier to terminate its obligation to provide landline telephone services to everyone in the state, projecting the legislation would save the company millions.
