Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Okay. It is getting very quiet in the office. Workload is decreasing rapidly (gone to India ): Is the big lay-off in October or November?

So used to handing our work over to Mexico that it was quite a surprise to turn over our most recent work to the Chinese this time.

In response to workload decreasing what planet are you on? Obviously you are working in an area where you are not used to working hard anyway and those jobs could not go to India anyway. I call them special project jobs, the ones that they give to the higher salary grade people who have nothing to do anyway. I will say that I was surprised that some of those people finally got the boot. It was about time. I mean making all of that money doing nothing.

As recession sets in move more jobs to lost cost sh-t countries.
Why are real americans protesting in front of world headquarters,& dealerships.
Shame shame shame on the ford family. Just like strohs just abandon the market that made you great.
If you wanna get an idea of what the FORD families like just look up the Ford foundation.

This is a sinking ship. When all else fails move jobs to low cost countries.
Anyone with a brain will go elsewhere. He-l most people can only afford used ice cars. This is the final straw for the middle class.

I worked as a contractor for 10 years between Oakville and Dearborn. Loved every minute except I did work no FTE would do. If I hadn’t cleaned up the processes, FORD would have been paying through the nose for FTE work. FTE’s had no incentive to fix any process whereas I wanted to make sure everything went smoothly and quickly.

I still think Ford leadership forget how layoffs affect sales. I know many people laid off on August, none bought Ford products after getting other jobs. Further, many of their relatives canceled orders after their relatives were let go. And those jobs going over seas?! Those overseas employees do not buy Ford products!

So your already shrinking market share continues to get smaller with each layoff.

The last one out, turn out the lights! This company is going down fast.

Yes more will happen
As with FC IT; first train Indian replacements; be told to apply for jobs; be told not qualified for any jobs (even though you are); get a pink slip (whole teams got pink slips)

Pink slips for additional groups are being prepared.

It’s all a racket. But to be fair JF did announce last year that 85% of salaried jobs would be relocated to lower cost regions. People just chose not to believe him.

Fortunately, there are so many people retiring at the end of November that there will be no more lay offs for the year. Ford is actually concerned that too many people are leaving in November!
