Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

how can you run a foundry with no foundry experience?

Pat was unable to find a single executive in Taiwan who was willing to join IFS? IFS is just a completely clueless bunch of people who neither know how intel/td operates, nor do they know how a foundry operates.

If you look at the foundry….that’s where all the turnover happened. What’s left is weak engineering ICs and even weaker supply chain ICs supporting the fabs. Half of these folks graduated the University of Phoenix.

Even if you found someone from taiwan, would you trust someone from taiwan to run your next initiative that is going directly head to head with taiwan which is deeply monitored by mainland.

Tower Semi is a tier 3 foundry. They only have 1% of the foundry market share similar to companies you never hear about.

ICF was BK's pet project. It turned out that even the all mighty BK can't make the tail wag the dog after all. While we all pray for the miracle with the zealet at the helm now, spare a moment to consider how many satisfied foundry customers TSMC got and how customer friendly the Intel process is.

If you are an Indian and you say you can, then our company leader will believe you can. That simple.
