Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Any new about Sioux Falls?

I worry that our Sioux Falls office will close. Has anyone heard this?

Frank had us count the number of cars in the parking lot of the Long Island NY office on Fridays to make the point that too many people weren’t showing up. This was just before Sapiance. He seemed to have an issue with the people there. Of course the site was closed and some long service people in their 60’s needed to commute over 2 hours each way to work in Jersey City until they could retire. It was sad to see them come out of the train in the morning looking beaten before they even got into work.

There are some areas in sioux falls it would take a while to move. Core product support for one. I could see them closing the doors and sending them to wfh until they slowly backfill those roles in BH then RIF the remotes down the road. If you do anything easily replaceable I imagine you'd be handed a box at the time the door closes.

They haven't hired any new staff for those products anywhere else. Unless they are going to sunset the Sioux Falls products or are planning on hiring new staff without a hand off it will be a while before they can close the Sioux Falls office.

I have heard these rumors as well. Judging by past events at other locations, I'd say SF will likely be closed within the next year or two. Personally I am brushing up my resume and recommend everybody do the same. Better to be safe than sorry.
