What is the great resignation?

I am proud to state that this is the story of my career. Resigned at Cisco in Europe for exactly the same reason earlier this year as I have done earlier in my career. No job is worth our professional self-respect, being managed by people who are clearly unqualified to manage, our peace of mind and let our intelligence be serially disrespected by so-called "management".

"Some call it the Big Quit, others refer to it as the Great Reshuffle, but you’ve probably seen the trend dubbed the Great Resignation by the majority of folks talking about it.

So, what is this all about? It’s all pretty simple: around early 2021, tons of workers started resigning from their jobs en masse. And it’s still happening on practically every continent.

Despite having “resignation” in the most popular name of the trend, don’t assume that people are simply walking away from work altogether—quite the opposite, actually. People are resigning from their jobs to find better ones, even those who had been in their positions for years."

So you think the management grass is greener everywhere else. I wish you luck. Intelligence follows a bell curve and you can't change that. Look at how many people are leaving AWS on LinkedIn. Just saying.

Looking at your management comments, sorry to hear you are leaving the CX 'family'
Hope you have better pastures on the next job and management who does understand what we should do, and not blindly copying the blind.
