Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Panic Management!

Using overtime to increase utilization? Ridiculous. This tactic is due to poor sales performance and leaderships' inability to invest in new products. Honeywell needs to retain talent during the recession. So, increasing overtime artificially raises utilization and hopefully fends off layoffs.

Because OT hours are unburdened by benefits. They used to be entirely free to honeywell.. now they pay fractional rates.

This is the impact of AOP blindly planning to increase offshore /HTS hours by 25% in a political reality of a second cold war. Remember that goal in our HPD a few years ago?

If they have more fund that they can charge for, why not hire more people? This seems to be a healthy situation if they think they can support overtime charge with the existing staff. Isn't?
