Thread regarding Ford layoffs

When is the last day to leave for those who want to take lump sum using this year's interest rate?

Anyone knows when the last day is to leave or to notify your management if you want to take lump sum using this year's interest rate? I know that you need to take the lump sum by Nov. 30.

I would start paper work today if you plan to go. 2 week turn around seems to be the norm on the Aug SIRPs. If you have divorce or friend of the court issues in your file you might want to make sure those will not delay anything. Lump sum requires notarized spouse signature.

Check your email. I’m sure you received an email with instructions. Check life@Ford also.

To directly answer you question, your last day worked must be November 30, 2022 or earlier.

The date that is even more critical is the benefit commencement date. It must be either November 1, 2022 or December 1, 2022, as these dates can only be on the first of the month. You don't need the funds by then, but you do need your paperwork to reflect that benefit commencement date. For example, my benefit commencement date is September 1, 2022 but my pension check was mailed on October 15, 2022.
