For the last few weeks after the leak and to continue roughly for another two weeks, we are in a boiler plate. Maybe most of us are still WFH, or else Intel Corridors would be looking like everyone looking at everyone else with suspicion. Who will the next in line to get fired
? Is it me or is it him or is it her?
I do understand that some business units had been doing pretty bad for years, was on the verge of maybe shutting off, or maybe some very severe performance issues, some workers dont want to work etc etc etc etc. So this was already known for many quarters now and planning and execution for many quarters could have taken care of a significant part of this already.
But it seems not. Looking at the leak and Pat's message it seems there is no metric, absolutely random. So the blame game may have already started, pleasing managers have already started and there are many wonder kids who have come out with the wand to clean the floor in a snap and keep the rest not so fortunate ones guessing.
However, till then we are are all waiting in the halls with a little air to be called inside the HR cube to put ourselves in and then out.
This is the company we work for, the 21st century camp. Its surreal. However loud the ELT speaks about family we are not a family, we never can be a one. A real family cannot do these ever and ever to their members.
