Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

People losing their jobs is taken for granted

Layoffs here are taken pretty much for granted. At the same time, those who make wrong decisions, which I believe are largely to blame for the fact that people lose their jobs, always find different excuses, never take responsibility and firmly hold their positions. So frustrating!

Anybody can become any leader, even a director at Cisco if you stay for long long time.

Having the title and actually leading are two completely different things.

@2iuk+1jgEFyOm makes sense. Now that we just sell Microsoft Teams endpoints we don’t need as many PSSs.

Confirmed...Collaboration Sales Layoffs. Notified on 17th. US only. RoW in January.

Good Luck. Those out 1st will be able to enjoy holidays while looking for new jobs!

Thanks JP and JK and Chuck...no layoffs my a-s. Why does any of the Collaboration Leadership still have jobs. They have clearly failed.

I'd love to know the divorce statistics for Directors and above at Cisco. They aren't human.

Those in leadership positions would typically be classified as narcissists or psychopaths. Empathy is not a speciality for them, people are viewed as disposable tools

Indeed! They're not even qualified as any leader. Almost staff level at other companies.
Too childish, too incompetent, too incapable. Anybody can become any leader, even a director at Cisco if you stay for long long time.

…because the power structure in every other company and every government and every other collection of people always behaves optimally and altruistically! If only it was possible to leave Cisco and ride unicorns over rainbows while eating pizza like everyone else…

Do they not teach “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (the TV series) in college anymore? “It’s about power.” Learn it. Deal with it.

Exhibit 1: Javed Khan. He’s had like 7 layoffs in his watch in Collaboration while we continue to lose market share.
