Micromanaging is starting to drive me crazy

What is happening to me now I wouldn't even call micromanagement. It's worse than micromanagement and it's become extremely stressful to have to deal with it on a daily basis. And no, there wasn't any incident that brought the level of trust down to such an extent.
Apparently this is a way to force us to leave voluntarily?

As a former BofA, US Bank, etc., that got pink slips through mergers, acquisitions, etc., I got out of the industry, starting to feel like a retail job. Work now for a state government position where the $, retirement & work conditions, including pension r superior. Those with financial experience should have no problem obtaining a job in a state government or federal government job. Best of luck.

Micromanaging is a symptom of a managers incompetence and their inability to effectively manage people, so they manage what their direct reports are being paid to do.

I agree with the above. The culture has changed and it’s miserable to go to work. It’s not worth it any more.

I now have a colleague (not my manager) trying to micromanage me. What a douche.

I don't even report to her, but she was given expanded responsibilities and now gives me deadlines.

This is the culture this place breeds.

This micromanagement is being done across the entire company . This is all set up to make you feel miserable and to resign. The best thing to do is continue to do your job and give these mofos the middle finger. This shlithole company is not worth it. This is all a game and I am playing it well.
