TBF, I’ve noticed that many of the reviews on this site come from a particular demographic, and have a very specific tone to them. Therefore, I feel like these replies may not be representative of the wider employee based at Intel, so I would take them with a grain of salt. I’m a soon-to-be RCG starting next year, so take that for what you will.

Why is everyone discouraging RCGs to join Intel? As a RCG myself, I feel intel working for Intel is goated and the name brings immense value to my resume. I agree work might be slow paced, but isn't it our responsibility to up skill ourselves and bring the much needed impact that Intel needs? We are young, and want to work towards turning intel around. Moreover, for most of RCG gamers intel processors still hold sentimental value. I understand that we are just a cog in the system. But the very idea of working on something that brings impact, however small in production of next gen processors is a surreal feeling.

Joining next year? Plenty of time to find another job?

RCGs should be the first to go. Why? 1) You haven’t accomplished anything yet 2) You can get a new job as a RCG just as easy as you got this one 3) You’ll learn how little you are valued so you might grow a pair and learn from the experience 4) Intel is a terrible place to start at so consider this a reset with no point penalty.

I haven't seen them do much else in the way of work.

What kind of boomer reply is that? You think RCG cannot find a public website dedicated to gossip about their own company? Jesus

Troll... How do RCGs find this site? Why would an RCG be searching for a layoff site? If Intel is the only offer you got then take it, it is better than nothing by just a little bit. I would tell you how much in nanometers but I don't want to make the TDs feel bad for not being able to compete in those ranges.

As an RCG from last year, you should really try to find another company
