Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO vs. pay cut

Which would you choose? Personally, I’d gladly give up 10% of my pay to keep WFH.

I’d take 20% cut to avoid the 4hrs a day in traffic.

I’d take a pay cut to avoid the daily 3.5 hour commute.

And no I didn’t move from far from my pre-Covid office. T shut it down and moved team location 75 miles away from my home

I’d gladly RTO 8x5, in MY local office where I was hired…but that’s not good enough. I would even take a small paycut.

“ This would need to be at least a 50% paycut since WFH allows for part time effort and has been abused by so many.”

BS release that data to the employees and their supervisors prove it

Wow. Toxic culture getting to you all? Trying to impress Stankey with your lack of humanity and compassion? So much hostility in this thread it’s pathetic.

If you don’t see a point the question then don’t respond. We have enough negativity to contend with at T. Have the decency to keep it out of these forums.

Pointless discussion isn’t it?
Because no one is getting that choice.

“ Dell computers recently told employees that they could either work from home or be promotion eligible. Almost 70% of the employees chose to WFH. ”

Most people aren’t buying the lie anymore that they will get that raise or promotion from working hard and going above and beyond. It’s been used so much that when someone says that to me, I immediately know they are lying. So yeah most would take freedom over that potential promotion. Personally I’m choosing freedom and getting off the hamster wheel myself, will be leaving the company soon. Getting my last few ducks in a row and bouncing. Should be gone no later than bonus payout.

Don Cranky here---You may WFH if you agree to a 25% pay, benefits, and 401K cut. You will also have cameras in every room in your house so we can make sure you are really working. If WFH is so great, you will accept the offer

“D-mb mass leaders.”

There is zero (true) leadership at the C suite/officer level.

Want to see a change? Make a business case for RTO vs WFH and share it with your leadership.

RTO is a 10% pay cut on its own with the personal cost incurred by commuting.

That is what the corporation is missing . . . the continued cost savings opportunity from WFH. Other companies are using the demand to WFH by the employees to their advantage. Dell computers recently told employees that they could either work from home or be promotion eligible. Almost 70% of the employees chose to WFH. The cost savings to the corporation is tremendous and it is in perpetuity. D-mb mass leaders.

Us folks in Mid Market Mobility have to do both! 10k base salary cut (that’s more than 10% for most of us AND we have to RTO 5 days a week unless we have customer meetings/door knocking.
