snow will not cancel any soccer practice or visits to costco during the work day.

Nope, you will have the take the time off without pay. That’s what they made us do last year during an ice storm that snowed us out for a week and a half. It was either come into the office or don’t get paid. We were not allowed to use PTO or sick time. What a fun year it was with that and the strike. NOT!

The issue for the majority is the company wants the flexibility to work for them NOT YOU.
You must beg for the flexibility from them, they will demand the flexibility from you.

It rarely snows in DFW, we usually get sleet and ice which then freezes and makes the roads undriveable, even if we do get snow it usually melts b/c the ground temp is too warm here and then it refreezes overnight and you have an ice skating rink for a highway.

I would. Cities in the south (especially Atl) are not prepared for snow. 10 years ago this week, we had thousands of people stranded on Atl highways for days due to snow. If there’s a chance of snow, I wfh. Don’t care what HR says
