There will not always be exceptions folks. Exceptions for months and perhaps a year or two but they were clear by end of 2027 that it would be completed. They told us last Jan/Feb in the emails. Reread them.

It's funny, EVERYONE has to be in the same building!!!!

Also, meet Rajesh, the newest member of your team, he's in India.

F their strategy and F them. They don't give a flying F where anyone works. They don't. They want to fire us all and "location" is nothing more than a fake excuse. You really think the purge will end when everyone is in a hub? It won't. It will never end while there are US workers and Shart is in charge.

It will never work. They will find that many of their favorite children are remote and will make exceptions, then get sued for discriminatory practices. I get having people in offices, but trying to get same teams in the same location? That’s a different story. Would someone want to uproot their lives only to be laid off later in a strange city with no connections? When they let people WFH and never made it clear that they will rescind the policy when appropriate. People could have planned. But some not so smart folks took advantage and moved to places that are no where near the footprint. Their fault.

All of my team members are located in different time zones. How are we supposed to collocate? Are they expecting all of us to relocate to the same time zone? That's 35 people in 5 different time zones.

Not news, this has been underway for years.

They started rolling out the location strategy in 2020. Remote workers have had plenty of notice this is coming. If you aren’t ready yet, that is your fault.

What about teams that are dispersed across all the hubs and specialty sites? Can’t sit together when no two employees are are closer than 300-400 miles.

They will need to start reorging teams based on location for this to work, which will be extremely disruptive. Also, India & Philippines is a total contradiction to this. I hate it.

They make up the rules but it does impact people's lives. Be considerate and let them know when this will take place by vs sometime this year of next.

Not that I agree with it, but this is how location strategy was supposed to be. Sounds like some groups such as cyber still have a ton of exceptions. I can't see them pulling the strings from some of their favorite leaders in tech. There will always be exceptions.
