I did like my last manager and most of my very small team of six peeps. We did a lot of traveling together. Every one of us have left the bank. A few of us were severed out (yay!) and my former manager, and a couple of peeps took better jobs elsewhere. I still keep in touch with my former manager and a woman who I was close to back in the day. We actually do zoom calls to catch up with each other. We are all rocking our new jobs!
Heck no. We all laugh at him.
He is so stupid he doesn't even see it.
I don't know what goes into promotions at BofA, but all the good ones have since retired and left. I would say that the leftovers are a bunch of try-hards who actually don't have a true sense of purpose (serving our clients) and are only focused on their own reputations.
@s8+1jgtgdmw1 - he's still here? (really??)
had one manager get mad and call HR when I brought up his trimmed nail clippings on the floor of his cubicle while I was there getting interrogated for putting in a request myself for a company laptop/phone
lots of talentless dead weight and empty headed yes men, lots of buried harassment/retaliation incidents that get swept under by these guys and their HR cohorts
David Deacon is mine is he is so fake, can't stand him.
Like and respect are two very different things..
If by like them you mean enjoying the inconsistent expectations, daily micromanagement and passive aggressive back handed comments on the daily with a side of them needing to feel like your under their thumb for their own sense of superiority then yes .. love it
@jc+1jgtgdmw1 - there are so many exactly like this here!!
So incompetent and they know it, so we bear the brunt of their insecurity.
Mine has no business being a manager. She knows it too. Deeply insecure and super passive aggresssive, refuses to leave her office, keeps the door closed all day and communicates by email.
I should invent new language to describe him. Useless guy wasted my 5 years for nothing
no...my previous mgr got all the credit for our hard work and moved onto higher level and demoted everyone in the team, current manager is more of introverted and doesn't represent - protect our team.
He-l no. Laid me off and pretended to be sorry / acted like he didn't know it was coming.
Mine is fantastic. Fair, supportive and largely lets his team do their job without undue interference.
Mine were all great over 20 yrs. They left me alone.
My current manager, absolutely. She’s worn many hats and has the knowledge and can honestly say that she’s been in our shoes and in the environment that we’re in she’s not just an implant. This is probably the best group that I have ever worked for while with the company from top management to my coworkers in the 15 years with them.
My "manager"?
Clueless incompetent dork. (bless his heart) But at least he's not evil like many others.
30+ years here = 20+ managers
Number I've liked?

Number I've trusted?

ymmv.
Manager?? Only green grass in Albany!
My current manager yes she's probably the best manager I've had in my 14 years with the bank. Everyone before her no they all su-ked in their own special way.
I really like and respect my current manager. It’s a refreshing change. Sadly my 2 up is still around.
No, he's awful.
But the number of people who do, in any job at any company, is probably very low.
