I worked at a predecessor and then BofA for a couple of decades, and it was and is mainly a computer system with human assistance to prepare inputs, and my job was just another software shop in a regulated industry. Then I come here and discover it's a Bank, and a really toxic one at that, in industry full of toxic ones.

I worked there for 4 years and while I can't speak of others, BOA is about as get as jobs get. It's all about the "good ole boys" and hooking up your friends with promotions. I was literally given a speech about the bonus pool being down since the bank only made about 20 billion in profit. How do you straight face tell someone that? Raises were about 1.5 to 2.3 percent, bonuses were 2-4k on a good year on over 100k salary. That place IS toxic.

Banking is toxic and I can't say one is better than the other unless you're looking at smaller or local banks/credit unions those might have better perks.

It seems Jp is a little worse than us from what I've had friends say
