Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

LHH

How involved are the coaches from
LHH? I had a couple meetings with mine at the beginning & now I have nothing scheduled & don’t hear from her. I have the service until April.

Nice people, but they won’t find you another job. That’s on you to apply, interview, etc. The biggest help is with editing your resume and Linked In profile. They offer group online classes, such as updating a resume for those job hunting and other conference calls.

I do think it depends on who you get. Mine was not very likable and reprimanded me for not showing up to our first Teams call. I had to point out that he neglected to send the link and Id emailed him about it. Duh. He didnt tell me anything I dont already know. Sent around a long Word doc on todays workplace that was poorly written. Then I never heard from him again. Waste.

However the resume review service was fantastic, I got some really good edits etc.

my experience with them was negative. the rep assigned to me was OOO about every other week it seemed. i had several emails unanswered.
i submitted my resume to them to be reviewed & enhanced and what they sent back (based on the name it was not a stateside human that worked on it) was a complete joke. they broke up sentences into things that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. there were random formatting issues - like a row in the middle of a paragraph being mysteriously bolded.
i ended up going with a professional resume company that also helps with cover letters and your linkedin profile. wasn't cheap but was definitely worth it.

@ay+1jh3j7t1c - aren’t they the experts & getting paid to provide a service?

Are you waiting on them to take the next steps?

They fixed my resume, but no meetings. They probably know my field is filled with H1B applicants.

Most banks interviewed me and still chose someone 20 years younger.

This thread doesn't read like a corporate PR troll fest, at all.

Mine was the worst! She literally hounded me by emailing me and calling me and telling me I could not make any sort of career move search without speaking with her first.
I know a lot of people have had really good experiences and a lot have had bad…..mine was unproductive — my consultant seriously drove me nucking futz!!!

I think the LHH coaches are engaged at the level you need them to be. My initial sessions with my coach were incredibly helpful in refining my resume and personal branding. After just a short time, I felt much more confident in my job search. I was fortunate to secure a new position on my own a few months after being laid off, but I credit LHH for giving me the tools and support I needed. Good luck to you!

Mine also was good, use all their resources. I found a job thru their job search and got lucky. Good luck!

My career counselor was awesome. We had an hour meeting, then before it ended she would schedule one for the following week. So there were weekly meetings....any questions I had were addressed. We also went over my resume, setting up the LinkedIn profile and anything else I needed assistance with.
My experience was good.

After the first interaction, you pretty much have to reach out to them/schedule meetings with them if you want to talk. Every once in a while you get random emails with info in it from them.
