Digital has quantum computing team - does Nvidia CEO speech about quantum computing being at least 15 years away affect the quantum computing team any way? what is the team doing anyways? they are working on books and papers?

All the major banks are in on Quantum Computing because the first out the door will have an advantage with high frequency trading.
60%+ of trading activity is just computers running algorithms buying and selling to make banks, hedge funds, etc money.
AFAIK they’re doing research primarily on encryption threats Even Microsoft think had an article that someone was able to break some encryption with some quantum computing.
It’s basically research being funded to support that groups interests.
Quantum computing is pseudo-science at best, and probably 10-20 years away from doing anything useful. It's also possible it will simply never be useful. It's honestly nonsense that Wells Fargo has been spending time and resources on something that may as well be of similar value to preparing banking options for colonies on Mars. Sure, maybe some day long, long in the future it will be useful, but money spent on it now is simply wasted.
