Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

This is how much AT&T Cares about its employees . . .

24 months ago before the announcement of 3-Day RTO, AT&T vacated the large building at Lenox, 2180 Lake Blvd. Roughly 6 months later AT&T rushed to open 1277 Lenox with Stankey even coming to 1277 to basically give his open this building or else threat to the employees in charge of opening the building by August 2023.
Fast forward18 months . . . AT&T does not have enough space for their employees, though having the large 2180 building would have helped tremendously. Now, because of Stank and Mike Ford/CRE's lack of care and planning, AT&T is having to put overflow parking back in 2180 to accommodate their continued bad decisions.

"Su-k it up. I have the option of feeding a parking meter or finding my own parking garage 3 blocks away in the #1 crime area in my state. You could’ve been told to move to Dallas."

Better reading comprehension skills would do you well . . . the OP is not bi--hing about having to park a block away from the building he/she works in. The OP is pointing out the stupidity or lack of caring (probably both) the C-Suite has demonstrated by their actions. The parking situation is just a result of that point.

"Are you sure it’s a lack of planning, rather than according to plans?"

I am a firm believer that everything that has happened so far was hoped for by the C-Suite, except for the bad press.

"Rto employees are squealing pigs. You should not worry your misery will soon be over when they lay you off."

And you will be laid off too. Or even better, you will be stuck behind having to do 3x the job you are doing now with below CoL raises.

Maybe they'll give out more "AT&T Cares" mugs which will make all the caring so true.

“ You could’ve been told to move to Dallas.”

That’s the next phase. All these other hub locations will go away with everyone in Dallas. That’s the long term plan.

“ Morale would improve 100x if stank got walked out the door.”

…and 1000x improved if he was walked off the plank. 😏

The positive side, at least they are doing something to address it. Yes it was very poor planning, but that’s typical for this place and these bosses. Morale would improve 100x if stank got walked out the door.

I’m curious as to why some posters are so set on defending the company’s incompetence?? Why do you post such d1-kish comments and attack fellow employees if AT&T has not readied the facilities to properly support their own mandate?

I’m sure you are either a) not employed by AT&T, b) just some 15 year old with nothing better to do, or c) not good at you job and a colleague no one wants to work with.

Grow up.

"Job requirements change. One thing that remains constant is your ability to leave."

Stank A-s Li---r, my job did not change. I am doing the same thing I did 24 months ago. I was even coming into the office 5 days because I did not have an office at home. The only thing that has been implemented is STanks force reduction policies. Sitting on the floor is not part of any job requirement in my group. What a brown nosing a-s wipe you must be.

"We can’t keep all these buildings forever. We used to have 2x employees we do now."

That is true but you do not get rid of real estate when you do not have enough seats for the current employees. This is poor planning and complete disregard for the folks who actually do the work. And then to have to go back into that building 24 months later. What a sh1+ show that is. It just shows failure and lack of concern for the employees.
