Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Moving jobs to India

Was just told I need to lay off 7 people in my department in US but can hire 7 replacements in India. I wish Elizabeth Warren would stick her nose into these practices but I suppose she doesn't care about US employees. I really don't know how WF gets dinged in the press over every single issue EXCEPT for the great migration of half our jobs to India!

Is that why the workplace has gotten so toxic under Libtard SJW ESG nonsense? Oh wait, you're in a cult. Can't admit to failure.

Or is the pedophile ra---t Biden you voted for not working out for you?

Worked in technology years ago who loved the idea of offshoring first line of defense call center to India. That company no longer exists bought out by a larger tech firm we all use daily. They did not care about the plummeting customer satisfaction scores but were lunch drunk in the six sigma cost savings.short lived indeed. IBM became a competitor and they were flat on virtual enablement blaming the 2008 recession. The stock ran flat through 2015 or so until they were acquired at a fraction of what I paid for it in 2005.

Every US Job moved to another country is tax dollars lost to the US. How do we make that up. Oh I know Tax these US companies shipping these jobs to other countries.

This is why I am moving my accounts to a local credit union....my old team was displaced 2 months ago and replaced by people in CA and Philippines. If the employees started moving their money out of WFC, the top execs would get the hint!

There was a stall on this to get things in place, mostly licensing. The plan is to ramp up in qtr 1 for hiring in India and Phillipines.

I would push for a $100/hr tariff on all high-skilled non-US labor per resource as well as a $30/hr tariff on unskilled labor.

Because all the other banks already did the India migration 10 years ago. They all surpass WFCs numbers in India.

It sounds like an ingenious plan. Let’s look at it from another perspective. If the Chinese and the Indians are aware that we’re shipping out the jobs to foreign countries, maybe they might not immigrate here? I know it sounds far-fetched. Though, I needed to point out the irony.

This is every company today. We are either giving jobs to India, or to H1-B workers from China.

First outsource then consolidate.
Fire American then hire H1-B.

Too few opportunities for young American, none for older American.
I don't know what politicians want us to do for living.

Yes, there are 2 open jobs per worker, and our finance/math/engineering degrees are really perfect to drive uber and deliver pizza

I do not want India or China to have access to my SSN. Probably too late.

India is still assisting Russia. US firms need to either start disentangling from authoritarian regimes and their enablers or cease with the constant propaganda about “giving back” and corporate responsibility.

The India move will accelerate and continue. The economics are too good for the shareholders and the C-Suite bonuses - F the American worker who has to live in the US economy.

Everybody at every level should push back and say no to offshoring. WF and every bank we compete with profits 5-25 billion every year . Stop the greed...it's not necessary.

We don't support of our WFIP resources...we don't want them to be successful. No disrespect to them as people, but no F way. America first and always. If you aren't pushing back on your leaders, you are condoning this behavior.

I’m sure Trump would take notice? Though don’t quote me on that.
