I was just rehired into a different job title and area. I didn’t take lump sum and I am still getting paid, do I forfeit the rest of my severance? Also since I was still getting paid do I keep my same PTO as before and Corporate title? PS. The employee guide doesn’t reference any of these questions.

Severance stops when you start getting paid from your new job-no lump sum payout. The PTO will depend on whether you were coded as terminated, and if so, for how long. (6 months from term date to keep your years of service/PTO). And the date is based on require date,not accepting the position date.
You didn’t ask those questions during the rehire process and then come here to ask them? You should’ve went to work for Truist. You obviously have the mental abilities to go far in that organization!
No hiring freeze for Indians. I have seen many hired in the last month.

Been wondering if anyone inside is making efforts to place dismissed employees into openings, as used to take place in the past.
Questions you should of ask when you were rehired
Might be able to double dip severance. If grandfathered back when rehired, benefits should reset (PTO rate, severance). When they let you go next time sev will start from beginning. Ask new boss or HR.
You will get paid from the regular pay once you start and have forfeited the remainder of your severance by getting rehired. If you had done a lump sum, they would have clawed back the amount you had left anyway. As long as you came back before six months were up, you should keep current PTO, but if you have any questions, ask the recruiter who helped you get back in. Congratulations, too.
