Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Cost of health insurance

I am looking to use Wells health insurance. My wife is leaving her job due to issues, and we currently have insurance under her employer. How often is the premium taken from Wells paychecks. Monthly, twice per month? How much for PPO family, and how much for just me and my wife? Same question for Dental. Thank you.

if you are currently covered under your spouse and she leaves her job, that qualifies as a life event and you can sign up for health benefits outside open enrollment. All the info you need to costs and what's covered is on Teamworks and easily accessible. What you pay will vary based on location, plan, and salary.

If your spouse was paying for health insurance and they lose their job that is a qualifying event that allows you to sign up for Wells insurance.

absolutely ridiculous if you are in california and make over 100k, it’s $500 a month! thankfully my spouse works for a company that offers same medical for $180 a month!

There is no PPO family plan only 150 every 2 weeks.

Go to teamworks and search “benefits” to find the information for carriers and pricing for your particular state. And deductions are taken out of each pay period, which for most people is bi-weekly unless you are in a commission/draw only role.

Depends on the state. I used to have the UHC plan. With kids and it was about $150 per paycheck. Wife has her own. Dental is about 20 and VSP is 7 per paycheck. All with kids as well.

However, you are past the enrollment period and I'm not sure they consider your wife losing her job to be a life event. Might want to check.

This is for sure a better forum for this question than Workday.

Just wait until president Musk determines premiums and copays are too low for healthcare corporate profits to be considered efficient.

United Healthcare PPO with enhanced dental is over 400 every 2 weeks… also, the PPO has a 2 tier coverage scale… good luck finding tier 1, which has a lower copay.
Tier 2
Specialist $80 / Family Dr $40 / Emergency - don’t ask.

Add the $3000 deductible and it’s a very expensive plan.
