Seems like something is brewing. A lot of LL's were on edge this week.
Or maybe the stress at the working level is finally cascading upwards.
More cuts end of this week. Mostly more agency roles..
Noticed 2/3rds of the open positions are in China/India and Mexico. Hang onto your hat. The US is going to be service employees only. Anything that can be done by computer will be off-shored at half the cost.
Welcome to the new America. Working remote proved what can be done anywhere will be done in lost cost countries.

Then there's the ol' 'Trick or Treat' cuts that happen every Halloween . . . 31 'heads will be cut' to celebrate on the 31st . . .

The Iatest rumor I heard was that there will be cuts in the first quarter of 2023 and that they will affect employees outside of the US.
There are cuts all the time, you just don’t here about them because most are big massive cuts like what happened this past August.
For instance, they have been cutting programs left and right for better part of two years, and it is only increasing - which leads to agency and purchased service cuts, the Ford HC cuts follow. This had literally been going on since 2017 and will continue until they say so.
The correct question is when are cuts coming to my skill team/team. Answer - who knows for sure, so you had always be prepared to start looking at a moments notice.

There is no doubt there will be more. Right now, they are trying to see how many will retire to take the lump sum. that was a clear sign they are trying to encourage you to leave. That one was never done before. In the 2000's they were trying to get the HC for NA down between 17-20k.
With ICE programs down to a bare minimum and staffing to take place in SA/Mexico/ & India. It would be safe to say if you work in a mature commodity, you are looking at 12-36 months at most. This new PR Qtr. set up is a clear path to walk people out.
Expect reductions to keep going on for at least another 2-3 years. If you work in ICE or Body, look at the P708 LAUNCH TEAMS? Primarily all Mexicans. it's not that we have too many people. but you cost too much. hopefully they move Billy and Jims job down there as well. since they are both over paid.
There will be some this coming Tuesday for sure.
