RTO 5 Days a week coming in March

Get ready everyone. The 5 days RTO announcement should be coming any day now. JP Morgan made it public yesterday. Probably going to happen at Chuckie’s upcoming town hall.

Hopefully 5 days back in office for Chase and the rest turns into such a universal cluster of lost productivity and tanked morale that they feel it in the stock prices. That’s the leverage. Tank the stock and cut the head off the snake.

I really doubt we could be ready to go 5-days enterprise-wide as soon as March, or even by the end of 2025. But if JPM is really doing it then it’s only a matter of time before we eventually do so as well.

If you're in the 4 days group, it's a clear sign from the top that they want to get rid of you. FRTO / FHY.

Many groups have been on 4 days all of 2024, only a few groups on 3 days.

People talking about a lack of desks. Ha. When Shart is done there will be plenty of room to fit the tiny remnant of domestic employees. Everything else goes contract and outsource.

Space is not an issue. Have you no creativity? What about people sitting on others' laps? Ge-z!

The remodeling has been increasing the number of desks but not increasing the restroom facilities. Expect to stand in a line when you have to go.

What a freaking scam. Save your bonus and skill up, get that remote job for a 20% paycut and live a better life since you only have one to live.

Gonna be an absolute sh*tshow in the office I work at if/when they do. “Open concept” with not nearly enough seats for everyone to be coming in 5 days per week. People are going to be fighting for desks.

WF won't have domestic hubs for long. I give it 10 years before it's HY and I&P and nothing else of substance.

It will be gradual. Charlie will first implement 4 days a week to get rid of more remote workers. Then he will eventually implement 5 days a week.

There will be plenty of space in the large admin buildings which all core markets have. It could be a problem in smaller markets, but those employees have an expiration date.

Also, here's what a lot of people don't understand, even when we were 5 days per week, we would still run at 80% attendance due to PTO, travel, etc.

@ew+1jhbb33hf,

Office space is never an issue. Within the next several months, Charlie will layoff thousands more US employees and ship thousands more US jobs to India so that everyone will fit in the US office.

We don’t have enough room in some regions to make this happen. We have lots of 5/5 in Minnesota snd if those folks come in all at the same time they’ll need more space.

It does the opposite, but Shart is a great liar. He doesn't want to be known as the guy that unionized the first big bank. That is a lot of leverage. At this point, F it, unionize.

Hope the 5 days in office remove the tracking of hours in office. Don't mind going 5 days but not to be tracked on entry and exit .

@aa+1jhbb33hf,
No, not "everyone" will be returning to the office.
Wells is planning to layoff thousands more to accommodate the limited office space. Also many US jobs will be shipped to India and the Philippines.

5 days will eventually happen but morethan likely it will be after Memorial Day. That’s their playbook. That will give people time to rearrange schedules for kids. The scharf town hall is interestingly not at a WFA building but rather the Irving convention center in Dallas? My guess its based around announcements on the opening of the new $850million Las Colinas campus.

Good luck to all, leaving after bonus. Have remote job lined up, less money but no more commuting into Charlotte and paying $200 a month to park.

they barely enforce 3 days per week. I say we go 4 days max, but up to LOBs. Also, new reporting that tracks hourly is in hands of senior leaders and getting the kinks worked out, soon to be rolled out.

There are too many buildings still being remodeled and they don’t have the available space yet to absorb everyone back 5 days a week. They also need to know exactly how many seats are needed to address any relocations for the remote/non-core/non-specialty location employees. While some groups might return to 5 days this year, “everyone” won’t be returning until 2026/2027.

@a4+1jhbb33hf, I don't think union can justify to remove RTO. All Charlie has to say is that the 5 day RTO improves the productivity, efficiency and positive spirit of employees.

Each OC member is being allowed to make the decision for their groups, some are moving to 4 days per week soon. Some are staying w 3 but they are going to be enforcing the hours in a lot more in 2025 so be prepared.
