Expecting an IM in Tech

HR and Technology managers anyone willing to share BE's exit plan for those who are receiving Inconsistency meets? What happens with compensation, being added layoff list, or ability to move to another LOB?

Generally you are unable to move LOBs with IM. You are also likely to be on an improvement plan. Those that are IM are more likely to be first on layoff list. They are employing multiple layoff strategies. If it were me, I'd be looking for another job pronto to see options. With how they're ranking employees for reviews, a few are given exceeds and IM, the majority get meets.

Shouldn’t most of the leaders in tech get IM? I mean TK loses her job and is replaced and saved by SVB but keeps her outrageous salary and is given another role that is way over her head….AI. She is artificial but has little intelligence.

Inconsistently meets = no raise in the vast majority of cases.

That happened to me. I stayed another two years in the same job then went to another company. I should have just left right away because other companies pay engineers more (went from 102k to 160k remote).
