Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WEF says 41% of companies will reduce workforces due to AI by 2030

Google WEF says 41% of employers reduce workforces. These are mostly globalist newscasters, so take it for what it's worth. It appears that as an employee at Wells Fargo you won't have this problem since this bank has only done vanity AI projects. If you have been laid off you might give this some notice. If you are "quietly quitting" and your end game, after collecting severance, then you should take notice.
step 1: LEARN AI and do this by learning prompts.
step 2: establish an account at any one of the AI tools (chatgpt, gemini, or grok.
step 3: First prompt. How do I learn to use AI for my step 4: occasionally ask AI if your prompts could be better and what they should be

Have fun but don't wait on Wells Fargo.

I think all the posters here are forgetting, AI will not takeover Wells Fargo jobs. Remember who is in charge of AI, yep none other than the lemon tree grower and “incompetent” TK. So never fear folks, as long as she is in charge, AI or any type of intelligence will never take hold .

A lot of us, the labor force, the middle class, are very smart. However, their smarts have been tied up by the survival game, aka 9-5 slavery and inflation slavery over decades.

When AI frees these smart people and drive them to a corner, they start to ponder how to dismantle the unfair system that imprisoned their mind soul and time for so long. Currency is a good starting point.

These are the people who actually build bridges, machineries, and powerful software and hardwares. The rulling class are smart too in their strategic thinking and manipulating, but most of them can't even cook.

@a9 the very same people who sanewashed the last decade of Trump insanity because it was better for their clicks than the predictability of a rational presidency.

AI will get there, just as soon as Virtual Reality finally goes mainstream.

LOL then all organizations would merge to ChatGPT. Because all products would be built with it. ChatGPT would run banks, airlines and pretty much Amazon. We will go shop in ChatGPTWay or ChatMart, Chatget. When are we going to get out of this AI Hype (the new Agile with an impressive use case, again a magic bullet to get rid of everyone else other than C Suites.

#ag+1 - not saying it won’t have dramatic/disruptive changes in the future, my point meant to illustrate 2030 is wildly off base for 40% job losses. I heard the same about FSD tech in and robo taxis in 2019… only a few years away always

@ag I'm eagerly awaiting the replacement of most manual labor with leisure time in the government door. Once manual labor is irrelevant, so will be capitalism.

A net gain for the only species that pays each other to live on this planet.

@aa+1jhgydv9m Over rated technology.... lets put our head into the sand. "years of this".... I remember the "experts" saying this a long time ago. We didn't need the Windows operating system. We can get along with Wordperfect's number menu. Then there was the internet. Who needed this if you had windows? You can keep bullying your clients and your directs. You will be left behind. If this bank does not listen to its management consultants, McKinsey, they too will be left behind.

@a9+1jhgydv9m I was scanning the internet wondering if JPL in Altadena/ Mount Wilson was burned out. Even though they are right in the middle of the Eaton fire they are ok -- thou 150 employees lost their homes. JPL moved their server temporarily to a hotspot in their DR preemptive exercise. Three of the posts were in Chinese which I had translated which led to an interesting site newsinfo.inquirer.net. Did a google and msn.com, cnn.com sites came up. Also the WEF World Economic Forum meets in Davos.
Regardless of the source: Growing jobs:
The Future of Jobs Survey asked executives to identify the jobs with increasing and falling demand. Here are the ones that would likely have positive growth:

Big Data Specialists
FinTech Engineers
AI and Machine Learning Specialists
Software Management Specialists
Data Warehousing Specialists
Autonomous and Electric Vehicle Specialists
UI and UZ Designers
Light Truck or Delivery Service Drives
Internet of Things (IoT) Specialists
Data Analysts and Scientists

List of rapidly-declining jobs:
Cashiers and Ticket Clerks
Administrative Assistants and Executive Secretaries
Building Caretakers, Cleaners, and Housekeepers
Material-Recording and Stock-Keeping Clerks
Printing and Related Trades Workers
Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Clerks
Accountants and Auditors
Transportation Attendants and Conductors
Security Guards
Bank Tellers and Related Clerks

So upskill correctly (if you haven't retired yet). You don't want to wake up one day and see your career like a LA burnt-out house.

Over rated technology… how many AI automated customer service bots are helpful? Top companies can’t get it right after years of this… only to frustrate every caller with this delay.

We are so far behind on technology and AI it will be 3030 before that happens.
