Several case owners in life events transferred to the phone team

I have been a case owner for well over a year working cases. There was a point in which we had to assist the Intake team on the phones for an hour a day which was horrible, but we managed through it. Now we just focus on researching/working cases for life events in the estate care center. Anyway, we were informed they are transferring us to the PHONE TEAM. . I am shooketh. I can't believe this. We did not sign up to be on the phones ALL day. (& let me say these calls are NOT easy) sometimes not even management knows the answers to some of the questions we get asked. Of course they did this to avoid offering severance package. I would much rather collect a few months of severance and apply to a job that I want, not be forced into an intake team and be on phones all day. That's why I left my previous job to begin with. This is just wrong.

I'm so sorry to hear this. From what I understand, ECC is backed up on cases like many other areas of ECMO, while case count continues to grow. It is so disappointing WF continues to do this.

So, I would just do a really lousy job of it, get fired and collect unemployment. That's the best case scenario. Mgmt. will be mgmt. Scr-w them. Good Luck.

Sounds like it’s time to get that medical procedure you’ve been needing and go out on leave for a while.

Sorry to hear! They did that to us at WFA as well, turning professional and sought-after positions in to basically Call Center jobs. Pretty soon, we’re all going to be wearing the same color polyester vests, like at Walmart 😏.

Charlie and our BOD are slowly cheapening and destroying the bank. Their goal is Mediocrity. at best.

The only answer for those who have any pride left, is to leave.

This happens quite a bit in this company. You painstakingly apply for one position, then the company switches you to something entirely different.

Wow, you were mapped to the new job. Sorry, happened to me 3 yrs ago. I finally left. Take your time to find something suitable.
