Let me make you understand why most people at BAC cannot be in a union.
If you have AVP, VP, SVP, etc...you are considered management. Mgmt is not allowed to be part of a union.
It's that simple.
yes, see the teacher's union, how many of them have been replaced from outside
to achieve something successful you need balance
right now there is just 1 side, corporations/wall street that are just cheapening the labor force, there is 0 push back or consequences from that
they get a quick increase in wealth, the productive worker gets an unstable life situation
the overall society gets cheapened/lessened in the long term, see Boeing, see Intel, ...
it's like there is a fire sale in the US
You’ll have your answer soon enough if a union can save you. New leaders in our government want all the federal workers back in the office. A lot of them are union. We will see if a union has any sway over that. Mr Musk wants everyone back in the office too and he has big clout now.
I'm mixed on the support of UNIONs as there are pro's and con's to having them. The tenure folks at the bank will have more protection with pay commensurate with years of experience at the bank. Grievances will have better coordination between management and associates unlike today where issues are sweep under the carpet. On the flip side, there are politics in UNIONs that are not favorable to all employees. You are not completely protected especially if UNIONs are not company wide. The unionized worksite can shut down with the work moved to a non-unionized location including overseas. Let's not forget the dues collected from employees where the UNION leaders make more money than you.
