Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Hey T can you top that?

T-Mobile is the first and only U.S. wireless provider to keep you connected in places never thought possible with the world’s largest satellite-to-cell constellation in partnership with Starlink.

Silly - att only buys satellite companies to do one launch and then stop launching satellites.

att is clueless.

Let's be real here. T-Mobile service is a joke compared to other carriers. Their sites are held together with zip ties and ratchet straps and they are always late to the game. Satellite calling is expensive and doesn't really replace terrestrial networks it's just another sales ploy to make your network sound better and sell satellite phones under your retain brand with everyday devices. The satellite bandwidth you'd have to have to serve the capacity of the United States would have to be huge... And then what happens when you walk in a building and your phone does work. While att was late to the game I'm sure it went by our motto of spend $100 to save $.01 and the fact they care more about making sure you're in an office than the actual work itself

5 years ago in a townhall I asked about Starlink and whether it threatened our business, and if there was the possibility of a partnership, especially for FirstNet to provide communications in areas you can't get any vehicle into.

The response was "Starlink will never compete with land based cell towers. They don't have the capacity and it would take special phones".

Last year, Stankey's response about satellite was "we've taken the lead with our partnership with AST SpaceMobile. T might have gotten off the line first in the race, but we were quickly passed and left in the dust by T-Mo/Starlink.

Stankey just is always one step behind, but convinced "he's the man".

"""Satellites to provide wireless connectivity to anywhere in the world.

Imagine if Stephenson or Stanley had the vision to do what Elon did.

Hahaha, just kidding, Elon is a genius and those two guys are the biggest losers in corporate America"""

They did they purchased DirectTV and burnt it to the ground.. Do you honestly think they could have accomplished anything other than adding more gas to the fire..
I worked there 15 years and watched it all burn.. atleast I made it out and doing better than before.
Best of luck y'all..

“Just like with fixed wireless, T launched “internet air” years after our competition. We’ll be late the sat game too…”

T redefines the MeToo movement with MeTooLate.
Imagine your company being in a desperate position to stay relevant and relying on a Gartner Magic Quadrant written by vendors to navigate the future of your company. Then taking the chewed-up and trampled-on MeToo strategy and handing it over to a group of first year uninspired offshore hires consisting of friends of a friend ‘jobbers’ that have all the business and coding experience of someone that just graduated from a fake college.
The Jeremy and John blueprint for growth and prosperity.

I think Stankey will buy Starlink with the money he got from the recent sale of DTV to TPG. 😜

Just like with fixed wireless, T launched “internet air” years after our competition. We’ll be late the sat game too… T is more concerned with raising prices on legacy customers than innovation.

Stankey and his crew of nit witts are in a closed conference room right now “collaborating” on a way to buy Space X. BWAHAHAHA. They’re talking to private equity TPE for financing as they pull together an asset swap deal of old buildings, used satellites, copper facilities, premium valet services and employee monitoring technology.

Maybe they could try buying them. That would probably go well.

T is more concerned about its RTO policy and monitoring employees 5 days a week in the office. There is no mandate to innovate.
