The latency is getting unreal.
20 seconds to delete an email. 5-20 seconds of delay scrolling in Service Now.
It's getting difficult to be efficient and professional when the platform I'm supposed to work on is anything but.

I went from VDI to Cloud. Couldn't tell much of a difference.

imagine all the bonuses given to tech management that oversaw this
oooof.
based on what I have been reading, I am Sooooooo glad I was 'whacked/laid off' before I had to use this.
Cheers!
It's truly pathetic how bad this company fails are tech.
The last time I suggested something on Loudspeaker (automated time tracking about 2 years ago) I got one he-l of a "No way in he-l, you should be ashamed of yourself for suggesting that!" email about it.
Of course, now we have automated time tracking. Heh.
OP you speak the truth. Send this to Loudspeaker and/or employees in Tech who are responsible for this disaster.
@OP here:
So I looked into cloud PC a bit more. Apparently this is the wholly MS managed product that sacrifices performance for ease of management. All the functionality and power is neutered in order to give the cheapest management possible of the PC. What is absolutely amazing is that these CPC's are supposed to be ideal for people who only use outlook and the web, WHICH IS MY EXACT USE CASE, and it still does horrible, even with about 4x the base specs.
Apparently, if they actually cared about people being productive they'd be purchasing Azure Desktops rather than CPC, but that costs more and requires highly-skilled, highly-compensated engineers to maintain and deploy.
So we get CPC's that can barely handle a web interface and a native Windows App (Outlook) because it allows Charlie to get rid of a bunch of mid-salary techs.
Just wait. The Citrix environment is being retired and many of the LOBs that were using that technology are moving to Cloud PC. It’s GGRRRRRREEEEAAAAAATTTTTTT!
Like the very first PCs that had to page memory to/from Disk. CPM S-100s. I am sure they have some M$ft consultants working on it.
Yep. I just sit and do nothing while my computer catches up. It’s ok, my paycheck is the same.
