RSUs for 2025

Are we getting them? Usually they are announced the day after the earnings report.

@28b+1jhtdb8x8 - the table we were given by GHR showed Band only.

It was a very simple table, basically:

B3
B4
B5
B6 and everybody else.

Yea, that's how they view all y'all.

@24m+1jhtdb8x8 - not entirely true. Go back and calculate the Total Value of the Award you were Granted each year.

Number of Shares x Share Price of Grant = Total $ Value

The Share Price bounces all over the place, so you need to do a little math.

They aim to keep to Total $ Value of the Award (by Band) about the same each year.

It is incorrect to look at RSUs simply by Number of Shares. (the Share price is up ~30% since last year, so obviously the Divisor (Number of Shares) will be down ~30% to keep Total $ Value about the same YoY.

Go back and multiply the Total Shares Awarded to you by the Grant Price of that year, and you'll see the Total $ Value hovers around the same-ish dollar amount.

2025 - 100
2024 - 120
2023 - 120
2022 - 120
2021 - 150

B5 - 15 years with the bank. Disappointing that they have cut RSUs now as well.

dewey, cheetham, & howe. The better the stock does the fewer RSU you get.

B5 as well. Initially, the award was 200 shares. Then 150...then 120...now 100.

They don't want us having incentive to stay. They want us all to leave.

Since the inception of RSU's I have received 80 shares per year and have been a B5 since they started the RSU's.

This year the cut it down to 65 shares.

I have been with the bank for 26 years.

@1rv+1jhtdb8x8 - it's Band only. Years do not figure at all.

B2 manager.

There's an automated table that decides. Not us.

I was getting 80 as a B6 I thought it was based on years of service not band level

The number of shares in each tier may be slightly less this year since the price of each share is up from last year.

that's what's happened in prior years when the stock went up.

(similarly, number of shares awarded increases when stock price is down as they aim to stay close the announced Total Award Amount ($$$) for the annual announcement

Band 5 and over the past 3 years I received 120 shares before taxes. Based off of history, I would expect 2025 to be similar. Anything more would certainly be a surprise.

Haven't seen the full table for a few years, but it is very simple. Total award based on BAND, spread out over 4 miserable years.

2023-2024:
Bands 0, 1 and 2 not applicable (obviously)
Band 3: 300 shares vest over 4 years (i.e. 75 shares per year)
Band 4: 200 " " (50 shares per year)
Band 5 and under: 100 total (25 shares per year) --- I "think". Maybe others can weigh in?

2022 Band 3 = only 240 total (60 sh/year) because stock price was higher, so will vary.

Guess we'll all know soon enough!

Does anyone have any idea of how the RSU tiers work?

IE: 120 over 4 years for salaries x - x or band x - x
150 over 4 years for salaries x - x or band x - x

Or is there no such thing?

Sharing Success is nothing compared to how is shared with stockholders via dividends and buybacks. The 6 largest banks were reported to have spent $100 billion in 2024 alone. Assuming (and this is likely too high) each bank has 200,000 employees that is more than $80,000 per employee paid to shareholders in just one year. Expectations for 2025 are higher.

What a silly program.... while it sounds magnanimous on an aggregate basis, divide the After-Tax value of your award (by the time the 1/4 of the RSUs even vest each year) by 365 days of that year.

Ends up netting a whopping $2.00 to $5.00 per day depending which tier they put you in.

And this is their program to "retain employees"???

can't even buy a sandwich with that. What a PR sham.

Yeah, they boast 5.8 billion "awarded" (which isn't really that impressive a number over 8 years to 200k employees per year)...but how much of that never vested and therefore was never actually paid out? I bet a pretty good chunk. Just another, if not dishonest, but deceptive, statement.
