Very true 🙂 I keep forgetting what mine is. Not only has it changed a couple of times, but it makes it seem like I do something I don't do at all.

Not like it was hard, crammed some YouTube videos and passed the test. Not that I actually will use any of it (team is effectively an end user of cloud products) but I jumped through that very low-hanging hoop.

only business TITLE is changing.... not position or roles. it's a one word change....probably in tech so we ALL need to be cloud certified no matter what...
99% of us will only have two titles.

I have been hearing for about a year they would be revamping officer titles. But would not be surprised if they change corp titles as they are horrible. Senior lead compliance officer analyst or whatever is wayyyyy too convoluted.
Are we talking job titles or corp titles?
I’ve heard corporate titles are coming for a while, since we just did job titles, and there are multiple different corp title hierarchies at the company (e.g. SVP v. Director), that are used completely differently across business groups here. (E.g. almost impossible to get above VP in one group, and they give out SVP like candy to soothe egos with no pay increase in others).
I think some would welcome this, as corp titles generally move with you even when it doesn’t make sense in the new org and creates an imbalance for corp title to role, while others will just be mad their shiny corp title gets right sized (mostly down I’d guess).
If anyone has any real info, please share.

Oh, goodie! Mine is only five words long, I can’t say it with a straight face, it doesn’t fit on a business card, and it doesn’t even remotely describe my job function. Are even more words getting tacked on to at least up the humor quotient?

Maybe somebody got offended by the new business titles? Maybe they aren’t DE&I approved?

The things our bloated HR team does to create busy work and justify their employment.
I will guess there are both American and H1-B in those titles.

We have far too many senior lead executive stooge titles. Really! What the hey is the difference between senior and lead? What next? Director Senior lead executive stooge?
Too bad the company won’t post the min/max $$$ for each job position and area differentials. Any idea what the company is hiding, now?
If it impacts the range, that could easily mean more work. Especially following layoffs if they occur.
