Wonder how long it will take T to comply? It's been years of nepotism, doubt it can change.

Consider, no DEI enforcement means companies don't have to offer jobs or take work from people they don't want to serve, even straight white Christian men.
nope att will never change. the only way it will change will be if they go bankrupt and the board and c-level management is gone. it is almost like they are part of the government.
“Why would a company need a DEI program if they hire based on merit alone?”
No such thing as merit alone. That’s why
The last administration mandated and incentivised it by use of the corporate tax code peeps! I would love to hear, truthfully, from 1 big business that can fundamentally prove where DEI initiatives had a positive impact to their business.

Not in Stink's case!
DEI is in a layoff situation, Goodbye!
“Sure you can! You think it was a coincidence the last administration and all companies jumped on DEI at the same time??”
Another point of view would be that the last administration opened the door to allow for a more open approach that reasonable many folks appreciated vs. the ge----o state your dear leader is now employing.
Amazes me that you all think this old carnival barker cares about you when he cares only for himself and maybe his family.
Do you think his net worth doubled or tripled on January 21st??????
“ Can't enforce it on private companies.”

The government incentivizes with subsidies and other programs.
Google “ESG”
The R's mean -- no more hiring women and minorities if we don't want to, not "our buddies must be better on merit than others to hire them"
Can't enforce it on private companies.
Except for his cabinet picks. These people realized blind loyalty is the path not merit.
Meritocracy never really existed. Always was more about who you know. Just a meaningless label to make us all feel justified to sh1t on others different than you and I. You can convince yourself otherwise but you’d be wrong.
There will always be examples of someone being promoted that we didn’t think was based on merit. Just because DEI was in play did not mean meritocracy was not also in play. They are not mutually exclusive. This proved out for me based on my many years of experience working with and for people of many races and of either gender.
For good or ill, a lot things in life are largely based on subjectivity and lean towards being tribal in nature. E.g., “hire your own kind” - whatever kind you are.
And, I should add, being an a$$hole is an equal opportunity thing too.
HA HA HA.
DJT is the definition of nepotism.
