Even non Pension - IBM isn't good insurance wise with anybody other than healthy people.

Like a few years ago the provider change didn't directly take into account the difficulty of changing home ventilator and oxygen providers - seemingly presuming providers are ubiquitous -when they aren't for anything specialty.

CVS also sucks. IBM has forced CVS to manage all 90 day prescriptions out of local stores - something they're not set for with stock. So my wife (in particular) also frequently gets partial fills - if also the prescription fill is even correct (lotsa mistakes with CVS).

Things like saline (for nebulization) not available in needed (not too unusual concentrations) - but not filled by "CVS Specialty" - so local stores generally can't get (as the "allowed list" is highly pruned.

And no out of network? OON is moderately common for cancers, mental health, others.

Dunno. Kinda feels good to be "not on the open market" - but really I'm not sure IBM's sc--w job is any better.

And "almost thankful" I was hired after any pension eligibility - and even that I question "retirement benefits" of IBM medicare plans? As folks know "Advantage" plans generally (1) suck for anything non healthy (and who doesn't get cancer at some age), and (2) hard to get OUT of Advantage plans (generally need some proof of health).

Grr.
