I left AT&T 6 years ago for a FAANG company. 30M with about $3.2mil NW. Just back here to look at all of you complaining about union vs not union and the same complaints about the CEO. literally nothing has changed about AT&T. if you want to change then you should upskill and leave just like I did.

is crazy - recommend upskilling language, writing, and rhetoric as well
Believe me or not, doesn't matter to me! I got my bag.
I actually had a great time at AT&T, they treated me really well. I was a TDP (Technology Development Program) hire out of the Dallas office (CDO in Plano, if it's still called that). People were very nice, but everyone senior to me kept telling me that if you want to grow your career, it wouldn't be at AT&T. I hopped to one of Google/FB/Netflix in 2019 and haven't looked back.
You have to fundamentally understand, when it comes to mega-corps, it really doesn't get bigger than AT&T. We used to be a monopoly. Their employees come and go. Employees don't matter at all. I remember going to all these big conferences in Dallas, down at the Omni Hotel and it was just a bunch of employees trying to figure out what the CEO/CTO/Cxx's a-s smelt like, while they told you a bunch of nice platitudes that you mattered (you don't).
The point of my post is to encourage those here that are on the fence, that you are the one in control of your career. Take action. Be proactive. Complaining is easy. Talk is cheap.
Peace out
Welcome back,
nothing has changed.
Wh1ners still complaining about being expected to work,
Bab1es still cry1ng about having to actually go to work,
College hires with no experience still think, because they took a course they have 'skills'.
Workforce 2020 areas still resembling Nur$ery schools.......
20 somethings still think they should be able to live and work in Momm1es basement.
Enjoy the clown show, the cry1ng just never ends........
Thanks for stopping by. I know you are relieved you left. Hope all is going good.
left after 18 years and wish I did it sooner. you forget how badly att is ran when you go to work for normal telecom company.
The math isn’t mathing. You’re 30 now. You left 6 years ago at 24 years old. At 24, how are you even that invested in T to come back to this forum at all? LOL
Absolute make-believe.
Go away for another 6 years. You haven’t helped us bash the company you lazy fk so we don’t need you now!
"wow coming back to these forums are crazy"
Subject-verb agreement: is it a lost art?
Yeah, it’s pretty much the same.
Lots of understandable complaining about layoffs, RTO, and the C suite.
Then a collection of d1-kwad$ who blame everyone else for their issues or try to take them down with 3rd grader level insults.
Thanks OP, so nice to hear the D-Bag view of things.
You left six years ago but here you are
Wow the land of make believe
The big thing that changed is RTO. Other than that, no change.
Thingsthatdidnthappen.com
OP is correct. Wal-Mart pays well and provides better benefits. Grouchy customers are hurtful when I gladly welcome them, but hey, far better than RTO. It's a living.
There are plenty of p-ssed off - though a he-l of a lot richer - FAANG bros on Blind,’especially at Amazon and Meta. Those places seem like fancy sweatshops.
Looking to get out of here. Had an interview today in fact but I’m really trying to vet for crazy as much as possible too.
LOL sure.
