Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Titles over results

Wells Fargo is overflowing with managers flaunting inflated titles while contributing nothing of value. They’re everywhere, clinging to their roles and dragging everything down. Clearing them out could solve countless issues, but they’ve built a fortress of mutual protection to keep themselves safe. Unfortunately, no one seems ready to tear that wall down anytime soon.

@j6+1jjnjwp3f, I have flown on a corporate jet a few times. I have attended big business dinner receptions. Many other folks have done that as well. Don't be ignorant.

@d8+1jjnjwp3f False. Senior executives are not flying on corporate jets. Anyone can stay at a 5 star hotel while on business travel as long as it is within policy and a negotiated rate. Stop spreading lies.

With full sympathy to the many folks here affected by the layoffs and disruption, the WFC stock price does imply results are happening. I hope many of those affected by these layoffs are at least able to participate in and benefit from the equity price upside for WFC.

Results? What results?

They love being a Sr. executive not only for a big salary but also for various perks. They fly on a corporate jet, stay at a 5 star hotel, eat a $200 meal, get entertained by the NBA or NFL luxury box tickets. Many of them are exempt from RTO.

Of course it's not exclusive to WF; however, from my experience WF's culture has been the most toxic.

Do you really think this is exclusive to WF? Come on, with drowning in your own self pity. I don’t like this place either, but I am happy to have the job and the money while it’s available. I find there are better things to do sit around thinking about all the sh*t that pi---s me off.

I've tried, but lost the battle and they canned me. You are right, those corrupt Sr. managers even lie to protect themselves.

Unfortunately it starts higher up the chain. After being laid off the first time (it was a blessing in disguise as the culture at the time was toxic), I found a job elsewhere but ended up returning to WF a few years later for a nice pay bump. It only took a month of being on the job to realize that the toxic WF culture had not changed. I left and never looked back, except to come here once in awhile to tell others to move on!
