Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Don't you dare speak up

Retaliation is starting to feel like the norm around here. Instead of fixing problems, speaking up just puts a target on your back. Not to mention, it’s frustrating to see how reporting problems to HR often leads to more trouble than solutions. No wonder nothing ever improves around here.

I spoke up against a Sr. manager for his gross unethical conducts and he retaliated me. He pressured my manager to give me Inconsistently Meets no matter what (I found it out through the grapevine). I had a lot of good accomplishments and received many good 360 reviews. But my manager ignored all of that good stuff and still gave me IM. I reported this hostile environment to Ethics Line, but nothing happened. A few months later, I was laid off. WF is truly like a mafia organization, those corrupt leaders protect each other.

If you can prove retaliation then you have a fantastic lawsuit on your hands.

The reality is that retaliation rarely happens. The liability is simply too great.

Be careful what you do. I called out a person for unethical behavior and they reported me to HR! Jokes on them because I wasn’t going to report them (I mean who goes to HR these days?!! but what they reported me for just made them look petty.

If you whistlevlow, Wells Fargo will put you on a list. You will then get g@ngstalked. Look up the terminology, they will pay people to harass you, follow you around, and try to get you to unlive yourself. Be careful

Employees who report things to HR are just drama causers and business disrupters. Very frustrating and distracting to deal with as leaders.

HR is not on your side. HR/Employee Relations are in place to break down any opposition to the executive's directives. It is unfortunate they run the company that way.

This is the most accurate post I have seen in a very long time.

WF is a master of sweeping unethical behavior under the rug. Even when there is proof, a pattern, and reported by multiple employees. They simply do not care...

Don't report them to HR. Never! Report them to the regulators or news agencies.

At Wellsfargo, we fix problems by fixing the guy who speaks up.
