Geo fencing on corporate use phones?

I heard the rto will be 8 hours 5 days per week: badge, logins, and geofenced cou to build your stats. Seems excessive.

Doubtful and if it comes to that on COU then there other options available. Nothing to worry about.

no problem. My COU will be left at my desk every single night. Just like I leave my laptop there now.

“ Once presence metrics became more advanced, senior leadership saw how widespread the abuse has been. This drove 5x8.”

It was less than 10% +/- depending on org. I saw the reports. Easy fix would have been to just notify the managers and have them deal with it directly. But no. The reason for RTO is for 2 things: 1. Wall St mandate through the board. 2. Reduce headcount through voluntary quits and retirements

The statements about RTO are nearly identical across companies that have implemented it. Almost verbatim. It was a coordinated effort. Just like how they suppress and collude on wages. Ever wonder why all the job descriptions are super generic and identical across companies now? It’s illegal but they use 3rd parties to skirt the law. These are facts.

The COU stuff makes no sense since not everyone impacted by RTO has a COU.

They can’t even get the LAN pings working correctly I’d love to see how bad their COU tracking is

SWBT management culture has always been what some would consider excessive, but it's also in line with historical Bell and regional management-labor culture. It just was repressed during the late 2010s and during lockdowns because labor freedom was in vogue. Ask any old-timer about the supervisor expectations for attendance and it will be an old-tech equivalent of what's happening now with badge timing, VPN timing, floor monitoring using RFID sensors, etc.

T is being run like a Na-i camp. Supervisors are not empowered to manage teams, instead get their marching orders dictated by the oligarch overlords. Yes, Master. May I have another?

Not saying ur wrong on what metrics showed, but now own those same metrics were severely flawed and inaccurate. Folks have seen the reporting and at times it wouldn’t capture entire in office visits. Getting a zero while being in for 8 hours would allow someone to build their case to the board, albeit erroneously.

There was no “abuse” RTO is stupid. You either get sh-t done or you don’t. Where you commute into and sit doesn’t produce better results, actually the contrary.
