Please accept my sincere apologies for the post (about my salary while joining). It sounds very insensitive after hearing your personal reasons. Good luck

@2cz+1jjtc865a I’m not mad at all I’m happy that newer folks are demanding better wages. I was always rated as an exceeds employee across each category for the majority of my career under various managers and yet I’m “exceedingly” underpaid. I only took issue with it for the last couple of years as affording necessities has become increasingly difficult.

I know that I could apply and interview for other companies that would easily pay me 25 or 30k more, but I choose to stay because I have a serious medical issue for which I have a permanently remote accommodation. I also have a parent with dementia who I am responsible to support.

I hope someday my life circumstances change for the better, and when it does, I will jump ship in a hurry.

Not to pi-s you off but I joined at K after graduation for 130k in technology. And I most likely looking to get the package in the P-M shuffle next week . 2 years experience AND I am looking for the break to go for my MBA (either I get a package or I am quitting - either way I am out)

I think Post ID: @29t+1jjtc865a is the first truthful thing posted by 42. The salary lines up with BNY’s horrendous pay.

I’ve been here 23 years and am making 95k, job grade K. Oh no, will I be like 42 after 19 more years of brainwashing by this company?!?

Sounds like 42 was a very average employee at best

60 hours a week for that salary 42? But your families real glad that you ignored them to be a lemming for this cr-ppy company.

Ha. The way 42 has always talked on here. I thought he was some big shot within the bank and making 300,000 a year or more.

All this talk about hard work and all these big leaps he made… i the same grade level as and I make more than you slappy.

The Bank taught me nothing. I never worked on anything that wasn’t my idea. That’s what I was hired to do and I did it well for 42 years.

After 42 years I left at a K level making $120,500 and change

I led three highly visible initiatives and all three times my salary and bonus leaped.

But that’s not your average employee. I never worked less than a 60 hour week. I loved my job.

From $0 - everything from there I believe. Bank does not charge you yet to educate and train you. May be they should. That will be a good revenue and the young ones can learn a thing or two because now they are paying to learn..
