I mean, isn't that why we all work? It's not like we're feeding the homeless.
ok?
Good for him, for someone at that level found him to be fairly relatable and caring. If he’s not, he puts on a really good show of it. It was fairly transparent even before the co-ceo came in that he would be leaving due to age, tenure, and the strong desire to grow CIB.
@d9 agreed. Making as much money as possible is a sport for these guys even if they want to call it a career.
He had a co-CEO for a few months, very clear that was succession planning at work. Weiss is in his 60s and is worth $100m+. Maybe it’s time for him to actually retire and not some larger conspiracy. We don’t need our OC to look like the senate.
Tbh your life’s work working at a bank is meaningless lol. I wonder if these guys actually convince themselves to care about what they do
"All of you are mo--ns, as a Board member, he has to retire at a certain age. Do some basic research."
I wish some people who are/were running our goverment would retire.
No one that's been here longer than Shart is trusted, which is why he had to have a co-CEO monitoring his every move. Enjoy the retirement life, ivory Tower guy. Hopefully Shart and Sh!+ Powell is right behind him.
Oh, wow. I used to work there and knew him. Good for him. I remember during covid looking at his fancy NYC apartment during townhall meetings. All the best to him.
@a1 Everyone at that level is already semi-retired. They don't work like you and I do.

He has been basically fired. O well, he made tens of millions of dollars in salary. He can retire comfortably.
I find it so odd that they had co-CEOs in this LOB for so long
Don’t sweat it. Risk is under control!
The note said “45 year career” which makes him 67ish. I sure hope to be retired from the rat race and doing rewarding, meaningful things at that age.
