Same. Two years running now I got an inconsistently meets. Total BS. I've always had meets or exceeds. F that.

This is pretty much what I get every year, for the last decade at least. LOB is consumer lending tech. I see the bonuses from other LOBs and wish I had known the grass was so much greener elsewhere. Now I'm on the chopping block so it doesn't matter. I'll just coast until my last day.

Good work and sound advice! I can’t figure out why more don’t realize this.

@b9 Tech is cheap.
Tech is going to the cloud and to In..dia (I). Tech at all levels -- infrastructure --> cloud with I management. Security --> I management. They seem to be keeping the design roles in US (still CA-based but may be moving to Ohio) for now. I see them contracting these out soon.
The toxic technical debt of WF is ongoing. With everyone going to the "business side" and perpetuating their processes, tech will continue to flounder. Tech at this bank is fully in the reckless and inadvertent quadrant. On top of this Wells has the "rank and yank" efficiency program in place. What makes this program so unique is that this is "rank and yank" without the Six Sigma!
Being in tech at this bank is like being in the film Dirty Harry. Each job performance review with your manager is like being the kid at the end. Do you feel lucky, punk?

Tech is cheap. Granted I only got slightly over 2% merit but I got 22% bonus. Up 3k from last year. When I got promoted up 2 levels in tech years back that sc--wed me on pay. Best thing i ever did was go to another group. My bonus was over 40k, never would have seen that with tech.

Be thankful that you got to meets, this is the ideal average. My manager gave me an inconsistently meets for one reason and one reason only and that is because when an Indian on another team reads my emails he feels upset, my manager has constantly told me that I need to change who I am to make other people feel differently when they read my emails despite the fact that I cannot change why people attach emotions to the written word and so he told me that I need to use chat GPT or co-pilot to write my emails for me so that this Indian can be happy because he doesn't want people who solve problems he wants friends from other teams.

Wells Fargo is a po-p show it's not about how good you are it's about the friendships you build they don't care about getting stuff done or resolving they only care about greasing palms and never saying the word NO!!!

Just play the d-mb game and you'll find that when you don't really work but you build the political friendships at the office that your manager will give you a glowing review this is howd turds float to the top

That's average or meets nowadays. Sorry, but don't complain. At least you got something when most get worse than that.

I had peers and colleges who got 0% Merit / $0 Bonus combos.
I didn't even think that was possible with Min-Mid-Max floor.
I'm not even sure what is normal or possible anymore.

What is the context for your bonus amount? Were you eligible for more? If so, how much more? Also, join the club, 2% annual is par for the course around here.
