Decades following the used business strategy snake oil salesmen from McKenzie leaves Honeywell ill prepared for a change in the wind.
Honeywell is always ten years behind the leaders.
Wait until the White House notices other industries being offshored… call centers (not needed with llm anyway) , software, offshore tax prep.. offshore medical imaging.

@db+1jk4k5mmf Had to look it up, but below is public H1B numbers for last 3 years. not sure its showing the numbers you were thinking.
Year H1B GreenCard
2024 150 10
2023 144 24
2022 197 21
Dump's bootlickers will prop up the offshoring and import of H1b -- it's the way of the charlatan and the huckster.
In my neck of the woods that is simply not true. Using H1b labor widely across Aero would be a great way to go to jail. Export controls are a thing and several Aero sites literally cannot allow a non-US person past the guard desk. US persons don't need a H1b to work.
HTS is a thing in India, plenty of staff there. The numbers I've seen are Indian engineers are roughly 1/3rd the pay, but in my experience roughly 1/3rd the output for any project that isn't a simple copy and paste.
@db+1jk4k5mmf - Honeywell does h1b a lot, most of Hon. engineers are H1B, and this is done with the promise of lowering the cost - which in reality is not true - google you will see the stats. Also, we send work overseas mostly to India, and then those individuals join Honeywell here.
L1 visas are used to avoid the lengthy process of getting from H1B to Green Cards. So these individuals with L1 are jumping the queue and are forcibly transplanted to the top of the leadership, bypassing local managers. Most of these managers have no clue about business in the US let alone geography or culture - so you have clowns to follow, and this explains why we are in this predicament.
That’s not true I know many in Honeywell that are on H1Bs. I was before I became a citizen. It’s public you can go search for Honeywell.
HON does not do H1B visas, at least not in any significant numbers. They have simply opened up centers in low cost locations, India being the majority.
HON does bring in long-term employees from these centers into US management positions (L1 intra-company transfer visa) and for special short-term projects (B1 business visa for 3-6 months)
KD is ex-McK. He has been slowly replacing the top strategy jobs with McK flunkies. It's going to be a long time till these stupidos leave after decimating everything around them
Plus I believe at Honeywell they abused with H1B, way too many, when we have American Engineers here. It is not that we are doing some cutting edge technology, and because we chose to hire subpar cheap ind. engineers Honeywell never evolved to being a software company. In fact when comparing costs, and when you include H1B visa, travel, benefits, health, accommodations, and family expenses - they are not that cheap. So we got snake oil, and we are paying for it.
