Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Current method of bonuses sc--w the worker

Before, bonuses were a % of base salary and based off of title. For example, someone in a particular role would get 15% of their base due to their title. Now, bonuses are calculated based off of last year's bonus, so essentially bonuses are staying flat or even going down for the majority of us. Getting promoted to a new role that would have meant a higher bonus in the former world now means that you just accepted more responsibility without the compensation to go along with it. WELLS FARGO, STOP SC--WING YOUR WORKFORCE AND BRING BACK THE FORMER WAY OF AWARDING BONUSES!!!

Charlie here. As I scale back bonuses and salary increases, I line my own pockets with millions in annual bonuses. Your complaining just makes me think of how I can sc--w you all next year. Thank you.

My bonuses have gone way up since those d-mb targets went away. This year I got more than double the % of the old target.

Probably got sc--wed because, like the oldest profession or stock market, you get what you're worth in the real world (vs your mind). Think you're a victim? Entitled to a job? You can be high end or a street walker but it's all on you.

You got sc--wed because you try to be a hero... Look you don't come to work trying to save the bank you come to work to make people happy as long as your emails make people feel warm and safe at work then you will get an exceeds it's not about what you do it's about what you make people feel because you got to remember the people who are judging you you need to make them feel positive and you make them feel positive by making them remember how warm and fluffy your written word was to them in the email you need to be sensitive and caring and butter them up and most importantly never tell them no you always say yes and then when something goes wrong you blame someone else because it's always someone else's fault it will never be yours.

Take this mindset for this year because remember the people calling the shots aren't about changing the bank it's about keeping the status quo and the status quo is making people happy it's not about security or product placement or anything like that it's about emotions play the game and get the exceeds

Is this another "unofficial" official change?

The last three years, I've gotten the same bonus despite getting three different ratings (consistently exceeds, exceeds, and meets). Different raise percentages every year but the exact same bonus.... the year I got my "meets" is also when I got the biggest raise. Nothing makes sense here.

I got the same bonus 4 years in a row, so yes a lower percentage every year. Another awful anti-worker policy

My guess is this is the slow move to less or no bonus for many roles.
