Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I get 1-3, but #4? How often you move money around in your own personal wellsfargo.com accounts (presuming you mean checking, savings, credit, etc.)?

Truly, there is not organization to track anything with any amount of accuracy. This is the least of my worries. Even if there is some level of tracking, the standards are so inconsistent and unreliable across groups that it open just another lawsuit/eeoc complaint.

as others have said, this has been around for years.

i'd be more worried about who's tracking your activities 24x7 via your phone.... WF's tracking is related to your employment contract, unlike all the data vultures profiting off of your personal data sale.

You could also choose not to play their game, do your job and fu-k what they think or track.

Tracking anything but the actual work product is a waste of time. If I can do the work of 3 people while working 6 hours a day, 6 days a week, WTF should they care? Stick to the job description and actually getting things done. Everything else is nonsense.

Forget flex desks. I prefer flex Starbucks, flux airport lounges, and flex hotels. Not to mention, flex beaches with umbrella drinks.

Badge swipes were tracked for years, that’s how people lost their desks and had to go to flex desks in some areas.

Everything has always been tracked. The financial industry is all about metrics. You just didn’t notice. All firms do this to some degree. It’s just whether the managers used the information or needed to. Now in the last 2-3 years it has become more transparent with boards like this or stated performance requirements. I was at another financial firm at least 10 years ago & the manager could track how long I went to the bathroom via my pc. Heaven forbid you had a bad stomach day! Lol

It's Big Data - this is information that is already being generated automatically, so why not look at it and see if there is anything interesting? I don't think someone initially said "we need to see how many hours someone is logged in, build a system to do it!".

Any nefariousness will be in the implementation and actions taken based on the data, not the fact that it is (automatically) collected.

Brokerage has always been monitored - we wouldn't be in this mess if the bank had done their job in monitoring managers as well.....

Not all of these are true but some are. Those who have been found not to comply with the 3 day office rule may face some year end compensation docking.
