Why the increase in bootlicker replies?

I'm seeing a lot more bootlicker replies to posts on this board lately. In fact, I'm anticipating at least one to this thread.

It's weird when peasants are delusional and think that they aren't peasants. They defend the people and policies that will eventually lead to their own job loss.

The bootlickers are usually the people that insist that everyone but them is slacking. These poor souls think that bootlicking will eventually allow them to join the ranks of those in real power.

Delusional.

Hey bootlickers, I'm still 100% remote and employed by WF.

I think it took me about 30 minutes to complete my work today. Though I did have a training session that occupied most of an hour. My upcoming reorg will make me even less busy.

Have fun being "productive" in the office. I'm efficient enough to get my job done in the time it takes you to commute.

And before you "you'll be laid off soon enough" me, bring it. It ain't the stinger you think it is. I've been waiting to be laid off since Chainsaw was hired. It would be a pleasant surprise at this point.

You’ve proven my point perfectly. Wells Fargo is a place where managers scratch and claw their way to the top, putting others down to elevate themselves. No one is truly learning or growing; they’re just playing politics while the house burns around them.

I’ve already left that burning house. I’m safe, and I’m free. Wasn't my message, but of course a network can help. I got my job at WF due to someone I knew who recommended me for a position. And a former WF manager has commented on making efforts to do the same now.

All the commiserators replying and aligning with the OP seem to miss that many of us simply don’t care about what’s going on. While those like OP expend all this energy looking at what they believe is wrong around them, the rest of us are doing us.

Meanwhile they are the real bootlickers, complaining on an anonymous message board and beeching to those around them about the unjust treatment……..while doing absolutely nothing to create meaningful change. Fun times.

There could be a few reasons why more people are defending the bank lately:

HR or PR Influence: Some responses sound like corporate talking points, possibly from HR or management trying to control the narrative.
Survivor's Bias: Some employees feel relieved they haven't been laid off (yet) and want to believe hard work and loyalty matter—even if layoffs are still looming.
Fear and Denial: The more unstable the company, the more some employees cling to the belief that playing along will protect them.
Trolls and Contrarians: Some people just like to argue or defend the status quo for the sake of it.

OP, your position is just now way to go through life. You'll just be miserable forever. You'll always be fighting against the grain and will be left behind. You may call some of us bootlickers and in 5-10 years, we're making double your salary. While you all were doing nothing but being grumpy, some of us were building relationships and a network. And I'm sure you'll call that cronyism or whatever hot word comes to mind. At the end of the day, you'll have noone to blame but yourself.

Like children playing in a burning house, many employees don't see the danger until it’s too late. The bootlickers defending the system now might think they’re safe, but eventually, they’ll be left inside when the structure collapses. I make no apologies for doing my job, trying to make this bank better, and supporting those who are leading this bank’s turnaround. Nobody is perfect. The senior leaders are trying to do what the board is asking them to do. And it sounds like you’re afraid of losing your job. Welcome to corporate America.

You’re probably a do-nothing lifer who stood around while the bank was opening fake accounts and did nothing, right? Do yourself and us a favor and leave. You’re obviously miserable and this bank isn’t for you. It’ll be better for everyone. Bye.

you will always have people unhappy at work, they can either stick around and keep complaining or do something about it. is wf perfect, far from it, but welcome to corporate America. my experience on the stage coach has been fine, a lot of that has to do with the jobs, teams, and management I have chosen to work with over the years.

To the OP, was your father like a major failure in life? Constantly label his own shortcomings and failings as 'bootlicking' and su-king-up by those who could and did actually do their job and subsequently advance? Constantly say that others just didn't understand how things work in this world?

Guess what? People who slack off AND people who work hard will both lose jobs. It's life. It's life at Wells Fargo today. You can get all worked-up and anxious like you... Or you can wake-up every day, do your job, and not worry about things that are out of your control.

The irony of your posts -we know you're the 'booklicker' person- is that if WF is so bad, how are you not the biggest id--t of all for sticking around?
