Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

The truth of the reason why people are so unhappy, anxiety laden, miserable and suffering PTSD.

Let's see? You feel like a walking target every breath you take, you wonder if it is your turn to get pummeled by everyone from the top to the person sitting next to you. You know it is only a matter of when for you to be the LOW POS NI OR NSI performer! You constantly have to navigate avoiding being assigned to work any projects with a blood thirsty, throat cutting climber! You try to navigate a corporation that is ignoring Federal laws that for decades have been there to protect every individual from the reverse harassing, hostile exposure to politically driven agendas. Like let's abolish Americans positions in this corporation. Simplified, it is like being on a battle field in a bunker every single day!!! Hostile!!

In response to the comment about anger and resent - absolutely true. However, the flip side is that it also is a source of passion and motivation for people to warn others from this terribly industry and people.

I'm sticking around.

OP is correct. This is the world of XOM in the office. You can act like it doesn't exist and you may think you are safe. It's all imaginary smoke and mirrors. I'm hanging on and trying to just do my work and survive. I see how people are stabbing eachother in the back there. I for one refuse to throw my coworkers under the bus. Let it all burn down. There are ones I love and great friends and if it came to that...fu-k it all..I'm out!!

Head in sand? Lack of reality? This post is for or me! I know most are only able to relate and believe it is about only them. ME ME ME-ISM but unless you are head buried deep in the sand or just hate everyone you can't possibly, honestly wrote here that you don't know people that have been and currently feel exactly this way. Think about someone other than yourself and roses and sunshine aka GASLIGHTING!

Why pretend we have no influence or control? Read tge reference to decades old Federal Laws that have not been enforced lately. Oh damn that might be unpopular and require standing up for real things.

Anger and resentment is a poison that you feed yourself. Why spend time ruminating over things you have no control over? Why paint a picture that there is danger all around? Sure there are plenty of a$$holes that make things miserable, but for the most part, people are just people. Life is full of ups and downs. For your mental health, don’t let these challenges define how you perceive others.

And you are such a genius you think I am referring to the job! It is not the job it is the politics and the woke cr-p brought into an environment that it is legally prohibited from being in....not about doing a job. So you specifically know I have zero fear from Gen X or any other Gen Stupid

First off, there is no corporate America job that is remotely like being in a battle field in a bunker. Second, you sound like you were given participation trophy's as a child and now you're in the real world and can't handle it.
Grow a pair and stop whining about your job, and do your job. It makes for a much happier work place for all.
Oh and before you call me a boomer, I'm Generation X.
